Most of Argentina's goods are transported by truck although railways are becoming increasingly important in the transportation of domestic cargo.
Air: The most widely-known national airline is Aerolineas Argentinas which has been operating for more than 60 years. It covers nearly all the domestic routes and has also an important continental and inter-continental network. There are also other private airlines that have been growing in recent years.
Water: There are numerous coastal and international ocean and river companies that offer freight or passanger transport.

Highways: total: 229,144 km; paved: 68,809 km (including 734 km of expressways); unpaved: 160,335 km (2004).
Waterways: 11,000 km (2006).
Ports and harbors: Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, Concepcion del Uruguay, La Plata, Punta Colorada, Rosario, San Lorenzo-San Martin, San Nicolas.
